Encaustic
This was a section of my exhibition dedicated to Encaustic paintings, a very old & ancient form of art, used as far back as the 5th century B.C. by Greek artists.
I enjoyed very much practising and making these outstanding and colourful pieces of art, using natural pigments and melted pure beeswax.
Encaustic means “to burn in or fuse”, and so I did!
I enjoyed immensely using this ancient medium, a mix of natural beeswax mixed with pure damar.
The result was a collection of original & vibrant colourful paintings for my exhibition.
